Working Woman Wednesday: Workplace Style on the Go

Today’s Working Woman Wednesday is about easy, effortless workplace style. Some mornings, I’m running super late. Be it due to my hair, or not getting enough sleep the night before, there are times when I cannot afford to spend too much time figuring out what to wear before heading out the door. For this reason, I love pieces that are quick to slip on, easy to iron, and do not require much thought. (My hair looked especially crazy on this day, so nobody gets to see it. Lol!)

This dress is one of my all time favorite items for workwear. It is from Forever21, and I originally purchased it for the color (everybody knows I love mustard yellow!). Now that I’ve had this dress for a few years, I really love the quality and simplicity of its construction, and it’s super comfortable. A simple A-line dress can be universally flattering on any body type or height, and can be worn year round. I will link a similar look below.

This classic trench is from Zara. I love this coat because it is very sophisticated, chic, and is easily styled with jeans and boots for the weekend or a sheath dress and pumps for the office. I love Zara in general for the quality and affordability of their items. Everybody needs a khaki colored trench coat! It’s perfect for the season, and a great layering item for when the temperature drops even lower. I bought this particular coat last fall, but I will leave a similar look below, as Zara always has them (sometimes on sale, too!).

I have had these snakeskin flats for at least 2 years now, and I have to say it was one of the smartest adult purchases I’ve made. You can have tons of cheap clothes, but shoes are more of an investment; after all, you only get one pair of feet! I purchased these flats from Aldo, and I love them because of their timeless style, versatility and comfort. These are perfect for walking back and forth to the Metro, or around on my solo shopping excursions after work, or even on the weekends when hanging out with my friends. Aldo has tons of great quality shoes, boots and pumps that are perfect for the working woman on the go. I will link a similar look below.
