In my mission to be fashionable on a budget, I often neglect shoes. Cheap shoes are mass produced and widely available, but they’re horrible for my feet! As I’ve gotten older, I’m taking more time to find great quality shoes that won’t break the bank. After all, we only get one set of feet! Today I’m sharing some great shoe finds I’ve discovered, and I hope this can help you too!
I generally have 2 categories for my style: work appropriate/everyday casual and athleisure. I bought the Steve Madden Hirsh sandals as an everyday casual slide. I can wear them to work, on weekend date nights, outings with friends, anywhere. I love them because they are super comfortable, and the rich cognac hue of the leather allows me to easily style them with any look. They are also a great dupe for the $680 Hermès Oran sandals, which are beautiful, but nobody has time for. *shrug* I purchased mine from Nordstrom Rack for $40, when they are normally $70. A steal! I’ve linked the Steve Madden Greece sandals, the closest match I could find online. These are just as beautiful for $80, but I totally recommend checking out your local Nordstrom Rack or DSW for the deals.
I was browsing through DSW the other day looking for shoes for a wedding I’m in, and found the Franco Sarto Ronnie sandals. I had previously been looking for a staple dressy sandal, a step above the flimsy $15-20 slip ons you can find at Payless or Rainbow, and these beauties definitely do the job. The leather is a beautiful shade of nude, and the thick upper strap proves to be very supportive and helpful in stabilizing the shoe to my ankles. These shoes can make any pedicure situation look amazing (this is a safe space, I’m not here to judge), and they are super comfortable to top it off! I purchased mine for around $50, which isn’t too bad for some pretty summer shoes!
Now on to the athleisure finds. I bought these PINK slides last summer because they are adorable, and I love Victoria’s Secret products (my boyfriend says PINK for women is like Adidas for men 😂). However, I’ve discovered that they are the most comfortable slides ever! These slides are perfect for running errands on the weekend, or if you just need something quick to throw on. They also are a super cute alternative to pedi flip flops! While I’m slowly trying to get away from heavily branded items, I made an exception because these slides are just too bomb to pass up! I’ve linked some of this year’s options for slides , as I bought these last year, but they will run you between $28-35, which still isn’t bad.
I had always wanted a simple pair of sneakers to run around in. I admittedly don’t work out much, but I love the style and comfort of workout clothes (I’m hoping to get a routine in place soon!). I bought these Fashion Nova sneakers back in the fall, and instantly fell in love. Yeah I know, Fashion Nova for shoes? Who knew? You guys know I love some FN jeans, but these shoes are very chic because they’re comfortable, easy to slip on, and so easy to style with jeans and a tee, or leggings and a denim jacket. The Constance sneakers have been my go-to weekend shoe, and I’ve even been guilty of wearing them to work on a casual day or two. The best part is, they’re only $25! If you take nothing else from this post, get these shoes! Easily one of the best finds I’ve made to date.
Well there you have it, lovelies! I hope this is helpful as you are shopping for your summer wardrobe. (I have a swimsuit haul that will help too, check out my last post.) If you enjoy posts like this, let me know in the comments! Happy shopping!
